Windows Vista Clear Type

With the advent of digital flat panel monitors, Windows Vista provides us with a new feature known as Clear Type font smoothing.
Clear Type improves the overall readability of fonts when viewed on flat panel, Liquid Crystal Displays (LCDs).
1. Right click on the desktop and choose Personalize
2. Click on "Windows Color and Appearance:"
3. If you have Aero enabled, you'll have to click on "Open classic appearance properties for more color options."
4. Click on the "Effects..." button and make sure that your computer has the checkbox for font smoothing enabled with "ClearType" selected as the method.
